Oak Park Arts District
HISTORIC ARTS DISTRICT GETS A NEW BRAND
Project
Oak Park Arts District
The Oak Park Arts District (OPAD) is a significant gateway into Oak Park—promoting local businesses and shaping the district as a destination for shopping, dining, culture and community events. These collages bring texture, artistry, and personality to the brand—reinforcing the idea that creativity lives at the core of OPAD.

Formed in 1993, the Arts District spans half a mile of Harrison Street and is home to a thriving community of artisans, small businesses, and cultural experiences. We developed an identity system rooted in this diversity: a set of flexible logo lockups designed for different applications throughout the district. A series of woodcut-inspired illustration collages serve as expressive visual anchors, celebrating the eclectic energy of the neighborhood. These collages bring texture, artistry, and personality to the brand—reinforcing the idea that creativity lives at the core of OPAD.
Diversity of Craft
The color system was created as a bold, varied expression of the district—reflecting its lively mix of craftspeople, studios, shops, and events. From bright reds to rich teals and deep charcoals, the palette allows for broad promotional flexibility while maintaining a recognizable, cohesive brand voice. This vibrancy mirrors the spirit of the district itself: dynamic, welcoming, and full of creative energy.
“They took the time to understand the
Arts District and then carefully crafted a brand that perfectly captures our district.
Artistic, Diverse, Original.”
Jacob Worley-Hood
Event Promotions
Individuality with brand continuity are the hallmarks of the event promotions.
Art Meets
Community
A Creative Corridor Online
We art directed a new website in collaboration with a local developer, ensuring that the district’s online presence feels as vibrant as the community itself. The site highlights upcoming events, district businesses, local artists, and cultural programming—making it easier for residents and visitors to explore, discover, and engage with everything OPAD has to offer.
